We find many names for someone we love. Di röe (the reds) and Mjölkkossan (the milk cow) are two very well known. Because Helsingborgs IF, HIF, affects.

The town Helsingborg is known for much – the ferries to Denmark, Sofiero, Kärnan, Fredriksdal. But maybe most of all for HIF. The history has a great part in the commitment. There have been years with great success, but also with setbacks, but no indifference.
HIF stirs the feelings. If you are travelling the country and mention that you are from Helsingborg - yes, then HIF come up immediately.

The latest years have been very eventful. 1993 HIF was back in Allsvenskan after 24 years of wandering outside the highest series. 1999 it became SM-gold after 57 years of waiting. The year after HIF went to playoff in UEFA Champions League after an exceptional effort against the great Italian team Inter. It became five points against PSG, Bayern München and Rosenborg in the playoffs. No other Swedish team has been able to capture that many points after IFK Göteborgs glory days as HIF did in 2000.

2007 HIF reached the age of 100 years. There was a big celebration and the hopes were of course that there would be new sporting successes and that the economy would be good again. HIF has a long history, of which it's possible to read more about here on the webpage. The history shall and may not be forgotten.
